Can I use Passware Kit on Linux?

Passware Kit does not have a Linux version of Passware Kit, but we do have a Linux Agent available.

Passware Kit Agent for Linux supports 64-bit systems and GPU acceleration. Passware Kit can connect Windows and Linux versions of Passware Kit Agents simultaneously, which means that you can use all the hardware in your network environment effectively for password-recovery processes.

There is not much difference in the recovery speed between Linux and Windows agents. However, there are several difficulties with the GPU drivers installation on Linux (depending on the Linux distributive). We have experienced minimal problems with the Debian distributive.

This also allows you to install a portable Passware Kit Agent on a bootable Linux USB drive to run the Agent on any system without logging in and installing it on the target computer. It can also be used with cloud compute services.

Passware Kit Agent for Linux does not currently support password recovery for MS Money, BestCrypt and MS Office documents with third-party CSPs, while Passware Kit Agent for Windows supports all types of files.
