Passware Kit Mobile supports various Qualcomm-based devices. 

PKM unlocks and extracts data from Qualcomm-based mobile devices of various vendors, such as Huawei, Lenovo, LG, Meizu, Nokia, OnePlus, Oppo, Samsung, Sony, Vivo and Xiaomi phones. Passware Kit Mobile is compatible with both bootloader states: locked and unlocked.

Q: How to put a Qualcomm-based device into the Boot ROM mode?

OnePlus 6/6t can be put into the Boot ROM mode via button combinations. Other devices require short-circuiting of the test pins. Check the Qualcomm test-point gallery for the location of the pins.

Q: What mobile applications are supported for decryption

Besides passcode recovery, Passware Kit Mobile detects the installed applications and performs instant decryption or initiates the password recovery process. The decrypted device data is typically saved as an EXT4 file system image in DD format for full-disk encryption, and in plaintext or DAR format for file-base encryption, which is commonly supported by forensic applications for further analysis. Application decryption results are saved as an SQLite database in the output project folder inside the “unprotected” folder.

Q: What encryption methods can be used on Qualcomm-based devices?

The following encryption methods can be used on mobile devices with full-disk or file-based encryption:

• Secure Startup 
  Passware Tip: Instant decryption is available for phones with disabled Secure Startup
• PIN, Pattern, Password, Knock code (LG only)

Passware Tip: For some devices, password type can be found on the device itself at /system/device_policies.xml

Q: Can GPU acceleration be used with Qualcomm-based devices?

Yes. For Qualcomm-based devices, Passware Kit Mobile performs GPU-accelerated brute-force and distributed password recovery. The mobile device should be connected throughout the recovery and decryption process. The recovery speed can be accelerated on NVIDIA and AMD GPUs.
